Nick White played a big role in the final scene of the recent Martin Scorsese film, Killers of the Flower Moon, where he used his immense knowledge and collection of silent film era sound effect instruments to bring the scene to life. This clip from the recent EP 227 of the podcast goes into great detail of Nick's experience working on the scene with Marin Scorsese and Jack White, and he also gives wonderful insight into the meaning behind the end of the film.

Killers of the Flower Moon is a very good movie and it is now available to watch on Apple TV with a subscription. This end sequence is a very sharp turn from the rest of the film and I found it fascinating to hear Nick's explanation of not only the meaning of things, but how it was all produced behind the scenes.

Thank you to Nick for sharing this information - be sure to check out the full episode here to see his amazing collection:    • Exploring Silent Film Era Trap Drums ...

and a big thank you to Paul Wells (drummer in the scene) for providing me with behind the scene photos of his drum kit and percussion set up.

Here is a little more information about the film:
Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and tells the story of the murders of Osage members and relations after oil is discovered on tribal land. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, and Lily Gladstone - and Nick White and Paul Wells :)
