If I can be candid with you, I've been pursuing my music career for well over a decade at this point. And to be honest, I may never get where I want to go.

It would be really easy for me to say "I don't need success, fame, or money" after I had achieved it someday. It would ring hollow and no one would take me seriously.

However, as someone who has definitely not "made it" by any stretch of the imagination, I can confidently say that if I never do... that's okay.

My heart is completely at peace with that. I love making music, and if it's just for the handful of people who resonate with it, then that's great!

Also, there are things that are way more important than any of those "metrics of success" we're constantly chasing.

I believe serving God, being the best dad and husband I can be, and enriching others' lives through my piano lessons and my original music are all way more important than any amount of fame or fortune that I could try to amass for myself.

Would I love my music to reach millions of people? Of course! And I'm always working to try to get myself out there and connect more people. But again, if that's not God's plan for me I am completely okay with it.

I think we're so focused on gaining the world, that we forget to nurture the things that are important enough that we'd trade the world for them.

And that's what this is about. It's a very emotional ballad, starting with just piano and voice, and then building to an epic crescendo towards the end with a myriad of layers... strings, glockenspiel, synth, and more.
