'Graveler' or Ground Traveler, is a 8-inch diameter, 90-inch long, solid rocket motor within an aluminum motor case secured to a welded steel horizontal thrust stand. The purpose of this configuration was to test the flight motor of RPL's Traveler space shot vehicle in a setup that would yield data necessary to demonstrate the motor performed to predicted specifications. This test was performed in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as part of the Traveler flight approval process. The Graveler static fire was the largest successful static fire test for RPL as of the published date.
