After entering the transfer portal last season, Te-Hina Paopao received a life-changing call. Dawn Staley offered her a role on the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team, ranked as the best in the nation. Since then, the senior guard has maintained the third-highest three-point shooting percentage in the country and remains undefeated this season. While she's determined to lead her team to the National Championship, she hasn't forgotten her roots. Carrying her Samoan ancestry from Oceanside to Columbia, she attributes much of her success to it.
