Addressing a public meeting in Satara, Maharashtra, PM Modi said, “It is in our government that you have received free rations, free healthcare, pucca houses, electricity, water, and other facilities for the first time. And the majority of those benefiting from these are SC/ST/OBC families. Now, the BJP-NDA government is working by prioritizing them. It was our government that extended reservations by 10 years. We gave constitutional status to the OBC commission. But we have seen Congress's intentions in Karnataka. There, reservation rights for OBCs are being distributed among Muslims based on religion. Now Congress wants to implement the same formula nationwide by amending the Constitution. But let the Congress and INDI allies listen carefully, as long as Modi is there, he will not let Congress change the Constitution, nor will he let Congress deprive SC/ST/OBCs of their reservation rights.”
