My first contact with this song was through a cover (the one by A.A. Lucassen, which is seriously pumped on the keyboards and has metal guitars, and has been accused of being soul-less). The next contact was again a cover, by the band of the ex-bass player and vocalist of Nightwish, Marco Hietala (band name is Tarot).
So there was a tentation to modify the song according to other people's ideas. I ended up with a version that is rather strong on the percussions.
