Hello! Recently, you may have seen people talking about Pub Choir and wondered what it was all about. Pub Choir is an event that happens all over Australia where people come together to learn how to make music!

Since Pub Choir began, the audience would learn how to sing a song but now Pub Choir also has Auslan for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people! It’s a really great time when hearing people sing together and Deaf people are signing the song. Who knows, maybe you’d like to sing out loud too?!

This year, Pub Choir has many events coming up in a bunch of different locations! All of us at Pub Choir are excited to let you know that anyone who is from the Deaf community is welcome to come to Pub Choir for free! No need to buy a ticket! Why not come and experience the show?!

Every show has an interpreter, it’s me! Madison. I will interpret everything that happens on the night. It will start with Astrid teaching the song to everyone, the audience learning and practicing over and over, and then at the very end, that’s when I’ll be able to do the authentic Auslan interpretation with all of you! At the end of the night, the Pub Choir team will film everyone singing and signing together and make a special video to post on social media!

If you want to sing, or if you want to sign, it is up to you because music is for ALL!
