Kastamonu was a trip that was made without getting dirty as a tourism city, while still preserving its sincerity, smiling face and hospitality.
It is a city to visit in every season, there are many options.
In the city, Architect Vedat Tek Culture and Art Center is a must-see with its garden and small thematic museums lined up side by side.
Kastamonu is the city where the hat revolution took place in the history of the Republic and Mehmet Akif Ersoy sang the National Anthem for the first time in a mosque.
Eat local dishes in historical Kastamonu houses. From Kastamonu Castle, you can see both the mansions and the city from a hill.
Enter the historical inns, covered bazaars, madrasah architecture for a cup of tea and coffee and send a greeting to the heritage of the Ottoman period.
Be sure to see the Mahmutbey Mosque, the most impressive mosque I have met and seen on this trip! The small wooden mosque located in the Town Village on the Daday road, 18 km from the city center of Kastamonu, awaits its turn on the Unesco world heritage tentative list.
Mahmutbey Mosque is a very impressive nailless mosque with the smell of wood and the beauty of workmanship, with the mystical energy of centuries.
And of course the rich cuisine,
Kastamonu pastrami is the signature of the city with the delicious meat of the animals fed in the Ilgaz mountains.
And many more flavors in the video
Kastamonu is very rich with its wonderful nature, lush valleys, waterfalls, caves, canyons and natural parks.
On the other hand, of course, the Black Sea has energy.
If you like winter sports and mountain air, Ilgaz National Park is rich with a ski center, viewing terrace and hiking trails.
In other words, it is a pleasant route to make.
Many thanks to my travel friend @mgturkiye for making this journey quiet, comfortable and safe.
