25 years of fighting AIDS and celebrating life!
Within a night of colorful soulfulness and celebrated diversity the 25th Life Ball united people from all walks of life in the heart of Vienna again to promote solidarity for people affected by HIV/AIDS and to raise funds for live-saving projects all around the globe.

With an annually changing theme, the feast of life has become an institution over the last 25 years and has been able to establish itself as a mirror of the social events and tides of its time. In 2018 for the anniversary ball a motto was chosen that reminds us to look inward: "The Sound of Music” served as a reminder of the most beautiful, but also the darkest pages of our homeland Austria and a symbol to strengthen the belief that we can achieve our goals, when we come together, today, tomorrow, every day.

Once again world-famous artists and hundreds of helpers behind the curtains volunteered their talent for the good cause – not only to help those in need and fight the stigma related to the disease, but to contribute to the global vision of an AIDS-free generation.
In addition to the joyful ball night, three more top-class events took place during the Life Ball week 2018: The LIFE+ CELEBRATION CONCERT at renowned Burgtheater, the LIFE+ Solidarity Gala and our youth project the LIFE BALL NEXT GENERATION both in Vienna’s City Hall. The collected proceeds go towards renowned partner organizations of LIFE+, the association behind Life Ball.
