The most important thing you can do in this etude is to keep a small hand. Although on the surface that might seem impossible due to the huge intervals in the arpeggios of this etude, stretching is precisely what you want to avoid doing in this etude. It is a study in getting across distances at the piano WITHOUT stretching. Here are 7 tips and practice stategies that have helped me with this etude over the years:
