A playthrough of the demo for Dungeon Clawler, an upcoming roguelike deckbuilder game that uses a claw machine to pick up various powers from your deck to act on. Your paw is cut off by the evil dungeon lord to wear as a lucky charm (obviously not so lucky if you lost it) so a claw replacement is the perfect choice for roughing them up. The claw is a cruel god that will often betray you at the worst opportunity and RNG with gaining new powers may make runs erratic in how well you do.

This is an early version so there's no sound effects implemented and game balance will need to be adjusted. I'm not very knowledgeable on the deckbuilder genre but having enjoyed the Wandering Village I wanted to give this one a try and was pleasantly surprised. Currently, things like poisoned weapons (which I lost the chance for on this run) can make damage stacking pretty easy. Spikes also work great to make enemies kill themselves. My first run failed to the 4th boss getting 10(!) stacks of the reflect debuff which was difficult to clear without killing myself.

Still, this looks pretty promising and I'll likely play more of this genre in the future.
