Zachary Hammond was shot and killed by a police official during a sting operation. The police officer is unidentified and the department refuses to release his information. Hammond was going through the drive thru at Hardee’s and the police officer suspected him of illegal activity. The officer blocked the car, but evidence shows that the officer shot through the driver’s side window and his life was not in immediate danger. But that account is being challenged by Hammond’s family, which claims an independent autopsy suggests that the bullets came through the driver’s-side window — proving the officer was not in the vehicle’s path — are demanding greater transparency from the Seneca Police Department on what happened.”
