In early December, USCRPL conducted 20 static fires of our 4 inch "Kiwi" motor. The name Kiwi comes from the flightless bird, and is given to this motor as it is designed for ground testing only. The goal of the campaign was to gather pressure and thrust data which we use to characterize our solid propellant formula. With a good characterization of our propellant, we can better simulate the performance of our rockets in addition to making more informed design decisions.
