Do you have a hard time learning or remembering your major scales? If so, the reason probably has a lot to do with the way you are organizing them as you learn them. Scales are a giant math equation, so if you can make the order of sharps and flats make more sense, then learning the scales will be way easier. In this video I reference the circle of 5ths, but I do not teach learning scales from the aspect of just the circle of fifths. The reason for that is I've seen my students be way more successful with understanding the Circle of 5ths after we learn 5 or 6 scales first. In this video, I show you how to learn and organize the first 5-6 scales.
