The Bonk are a jazz post-rock group based in Dublin, Ireland. A psychedelic-rock project started in 2017 and led by renowned multi-instrumentalist Philip Christie. The Bonk's sound is akin to Ennio Morricone on acid. Repetitive riffs and hooks which are hypnotic and trippy. The Bonk test the boundaries of jazz music in an original and compelling way and they are pushing the envelope in sonic creatively. There is a unique air to their music and their approach is remarkable. The band are Phil Christie - Guitar, Keyboards, Vox, Jim Christie - Drums, Patrick Freeman - Bass, Dan Walsh - Sax and Flute, Robert Gerant - Trumpet and Phil O' Gorman - Guitar.
