Getting a positive Rheumatoid Factor (RF) test back may seem like it's a slam dunk for a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), but it's not. Rheumatologists use a collection of tests to help them diagnose RA, including the anti-CCP antibody test. This blood test is known to be much more specific for RA, but when it is negative in someone with a +RF, it can lead to a lot of confusion!
