Vilnius Spring Festival is a new ambitious festival inviting Vilnius residents and visitors to discover exclusive art events held on the right bank of the Neris River.
Lithuania has been a member of the European Union and NATO for 20 years, with Lithuanian citizens enjoying unique conditions to lead safe lives, create actively and widely present their national artistic creations. It is for this reason that 9 May has been chosen as the starting date of the Festival, which will feature exclusively Lithuanian premieres this year performed by Lithuanian artists.
The Festival concerts will be held on the right bank of the Neris River, at the National Gallery of Art, revealing the cultural potential of the new center of Vilnius, directing the attention of Vilnius residents and tourists to namely this river bank, supplementing the usual venues of events, promenades and discoveries in Vilnius and expanding the cultural map of Vilnius city not only for the visiting guests but also, quite often, for Vilnius residents.
