Tommy DiNic's, also just called DiNic's at other locations, is one of the most famous restaurants in all of Philadelphia. While it was always regarded as one of the best restaurants in Reading Terminal Market, it was really put on the map in 2013 when it was named the "Best Sandwich in America" by Adam Richman on his show, actually called Best Sandwich in America.

The Tommy DiNic's roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe is famous. I have had it before and it was once a thing of beauty, with sharp provolone cheese, pillowy yet crunchy bread, and juicy pork marinated in au jus. However, many people now say that DiNic's has fallen off and it's no longer the best roast pork sandwich in Philly anymore, or that it's even a tourist trap at this point. It's been a while though since I've been to DiNic's so I will check it out and see if it's deserving of its title!

The association between DiNic's and Adam Richman may be a strong one, but that was a long time ago and it's also just Richman's opinion. We will see if Richman is right that DiNic's is the sandwich place to beat in the USA!
