Patrick Mahomes put me through an emotional rollercoaster. I went from loving him, to hating him, back to loving him, and now back to not knowing what I really think of him anymore. You simply don't know what QB you will get with him in the NFL and the main variable for his success will be if he's coachable or not and if he gets drafted into a scheme that fits his skill set. While I can't comment on how coachable he is as an outsider, the scheme that would fit him the best is something that would allow him to move and use his gifts as an improviser in the same way Aaron Rodgers does. In my opinion, he will not do well if he's confined in an ultra-structured offense like a pure West Coast system (New York Giants).

Grade: Early Second Round Grade - Part of his game fascinates me: Arm strength, improvisation, and release. Other things absolutely terrify me: Decision-making, mechanics, and durability concerns.

Comp: Jay Cutler - Both are gunslinging QBs with good arm strength and a quick release. Both needed a lot of mechanical refinement and have questionable decision-making at times.

QB Order (so far) with all receiving a 2nd round grade:

1. Mitch Trubisky
2. Patrick Mahomes
3. Deshaun Watson
