Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West is Scottsdale's only National Historic Landmark. It serves as a prime example of Wright’s organic architecture in that the structures are built of the rocks and sand of the Sonoran Desert and melds to the lower McDowell Mountains.
Established in 1937, Taliesin West was designed as a winter studio for Wright and was built with a deep connection to the desert surrounding it. A cabaret theater, music pavilion, drafting studio, and a variety of other unique aspects to this astounding home make Taliesin West and a must-visit destination when you are in Scottsdale.
