A long weekend tour of Manhattan while staying on Roosevelt Island. This island situated in the river between the Upper East Side and Astoria across the water. The island is connected via road, subway, aerial tram and ferry to the rest of the area. Accommodations are limited but the island feels like an oasis in the midst of a busy city. It is a fully self contained island and community.
