I paint on the color glazes like I am painting ala prima . I mix and layer the glazes wet so I end up with an almost complete image after just one session of color. Here in this video I dive deep into the process.
The Eaglet is white, but of course, you can’t just paint something white because nothing really is ever just white (or just any one color for that matter). So much of the glazing is both using the power of the underpainting and then working with what’s there to create that final color. It’s a combo of learning, practice and a bit of color intuition for good measure.
