Vocals that range from soul to hiphop, his limitless
talent is highlighted by his versatility. Yonelisa is a
Cape Town-based singer, songwriter and guitarist who
infuses his Xhosa roots with jazz, country, RnB and any
another style you throw at him will be effortlessly
rejuvenated into a sound like no other.

Recently he was approached by an international film
director, Jato Ehijator, to make a documentary film
about his life as a musician titled 'Township Dream.'

Yonelisa also spends his time recording with
various artists from Johnny Filter to Postman L, and
performing at Selective Hearing. Yonelisa is often
requested to provide entertainment at corporate
functions as well as attend TV interviews &
performances for Hectic Nine9 or SAFM radio interview
with Shado Twala.
His skills are not restricted to the music industry, as he
currently works as a Producer for media production
the company, Kala Creative Collective, originating short
films and documentaries such as 'Hajila & The Movement'.
Also, look out for his podcast series titled 'Third Eye
Talk Show' along with co-host Anathi Maliwa.
If all this wasn't keeping him busy enough, his wife has
recently created a documentary film titled Diverse Love
that explores the journey of being an interracial and
cross-cultural family.
