In the aftermath of draft weekend…I was doing some thinking…and I feel like the NFL Draft is usually a weekend of hope for the underdogs. A chance for those teams trying to unseat the juggernauts to add some talent and close the gap.

It’s not often that we have the 2 teams that just played in the Super Bowl make big splashes in April…but that’s exactly what the Chiefs and Niners did through the weekend and even into this week. Let’s start with what KC has done…and the big news that dropped yesterday…

As the Chiefs agreed to a 2-year extension with Travis Kelce for $34 million…making him the highest paid tight end…locking him up through 2027…and all but guaranteeing that the 34 year old will play his entire career as a Chief.

A big win for KC going forward…and another victory for Kelce…who Luke Kuechly already called the biggest winner of the Xavier Worthy pick when he came on the show Friday…because of Worthy’s ability to lift the coverage for him.
