In January, a non-verbal man with severe autism was left in a car on a 40 degree (celsius) day by his support worker. He was found an hour later by a passer-by and rescued by emergency services.

People with disabilities are one of the most vulnerable groups of people in our society, along with children and the elderly. Our families and loved ones entrust us to the care of support workers and care staff so that we'll be looked after with compassion and consideration.

It is scary when people in a position of care can behave so callously.
