Rishi Sunak has commended Israel's prime minister for opening humanitarian aid routes to Gaza and announced that Britain would increase its aid package to the region.

Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem, the British prime minister also told Benjamin Netanyahu that the UK 'absolutely supports Israel's right to defend itself in line with international law'.
