How do you talk college football without mentioning the head coach of a team that annually is competing for the National Championship. But that is just what Nick Saban has done for Alabama Football. I must admit, after his short tenure in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, I was a little skeptical of the idea that he could return the school to football dominance but after almost 15 years, Saban has brought Alabama 6 National Championships with number 7 pending with the school being one of the four teams that will be competing in the NCAA Football Playoff this postseason.

This video hopefully will help paint the picture for the viewers at why Nick Saban has been so successful as a head coach. Some of his speeches (or rants lol) are spot on when he is preaching to his players. I found myself quoting Saban when talking to my own team just yesterday in explaining to not be a player who is a "BUT" player but rather an "AND" player when talking about attributes and what type of player you are (If you are lost, just watch the full video!).

Yes, clearly Saban knows how to recruit, but coaching is much more than just having good players. Saban clearly knows how to mange, motivate and inspire his teams year after year as Alabama has risen to the cream of the crop in college football during his tenure. A lot of people also forget Saban was once defensive coordinator for one of Bill Belichick's Cleveland Browns' teams only to become just as dominant at the college football level as the Sith Lord in the NFL. Quick Ring Count: Belichick 6 rings with Pats, Saban 6 with Alabama. Belichick has 8 rings if you count his 2 as D coordinator in New York and Saban has 7 including his one with LSU.
