Winter in the UK means short days, with the sun rising after 8 am and setting before 4 pm! This makes it easy to see a sunrise..... unless it's cloudy and the skies are bruised. Today is a brief glimpse at the Geordie shoreline, from two perspectives: early morning beach walk and sleepy harbour in 'challenging' weather; and a midday trip to the mouth of the Tyne for some fish and chips once enjoyed by Jimi Hendrix.
