I am so nervous to share this video about my book. I asked myself where this feeling was coming from. I think it is because I don’t want to seem to egocentric. It’s all me, video of me looking totally epic, talking about a book I wrote about my experiences. It’s not just me though, I want to use my experiences to shine a light on a greater phenomenon. Stimulant use for ADHD.

I usually mask my sincerity with humor. I realize it’s the ego too that wants to hide and protect myself from this potential judgement and here, despite feeling uncomfortable, I am stepping out of my comfort zone to share this and to be sincere and talk about myself for four minutes and thirty seven seconds.

Besides the pursuit of engaging in the dialogue of how to best interface with the world of productivity and ADHD, I have put more into this book than I have shared with most of you. My family, and certainly ,my wife, know that finishing this book is a gigantic departure from “working on this book,” which has been a position I have been in for over TEN YEARS.

Assigning yourself to work on a book and tell your friends and family about it is intense. You run the risk of being someone who forever talks about his book, but behind the scenes, people are unsure how serious you are and at times, I was unsure if I would make it here.

Regardless of whether or not you agree with me about medications and ADHD, if you even care about that issue one way or another, I do think it is an interesting book and I am really proud of myself for how I have grown as a writer, and into a writer. I’m going to stop trying to explain myself and hide from the fact that I have made something about myself and am sharing it on the internet. I hope maybe seeing this video makes your day a drop better, and if you want to read my book, click the link up top.
