Twyla Tharp has choreographed more than 125, 5 Hollywood movies, directed and choreographed 2 Broadway shows, written 2 books and received 2 Tony Award and 2 Emmy Awards. We are lucky to have many Twyla works in our repertoire, including Sweet Fields.

Made for an ensemble of Tharp’s own dancers, Pythagorean geometry and its related harmony and restraint inspired Tharp all through Sweet Fields. The pervasive discipline and playful rigors of the choreography overall, could not, in Tharp’s own words have been possible without her own Quaker origins.
