The Department of Watershed Management is in search of non-profit organizations to administer the Plumbing Repair Program. Non-profit organizations that participate in the CCPRP Grant and are selected will become a non-profit administrator (NPA), providing the Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair assistance to qualified City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management customers. The Department’s grant can be used for salaries, benefits, plumbing repairs and necessary operational costs associated with the provision of the program’s services to the selected non-profit organization.

The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management recognizes that customers may sometimes face difficulties paying for water, one of life’s most essential elements. Through an innovative program called Care and Conserve, the City offers water bill payment assistance, plumbing repair assistance and water conservation counseling to approximately 500 low-to-moderate income households annually. Care and Conserve programming is funded by the Department of Watershed Management through customer contributions, corporate donations, grants and money set aside by the City of Atlanta.

What is the Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program?
The Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program (CCPRP) distributes Department of Watershed Management grant funding to non-profit organizations to provide plumbing repairs and replace high-flow fixtures that may lead to high water bills for City of Atlanta low-to-moderate income households at no cost to the customer.
