Welcome! My name is John McCoy. I’m an illustrator based in Cincinnati, OH. I have taught Community Education art courses at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and have taught the art of mural making to local schools like Oldenburg Academy (Indiana) and St Aloysius Gonzaga (Cincinnati, OH) to all grade levels. As well I have extensive experience in Artist Residencies for mural projects giving talks on the creative process behind artworks while producing large scale murals and public artworks.

In part 9 of our series “Learning to Draw with “Fun with a Pencil” we branch out from the blook ball in a non-intimidating manner by playing around adding new forms on top of the simple sphere.

Big things are in store for us ahead, and this is an opportunity to rest a bit and begin to become comfortable with the concept of adding onto the blook ball sphere.
