Xeno ate up a good chunk of my year. It started with Xenoblade - a patreon video. I ran the most accessible versions of each game and knew I was playing something special, but the picture became more clear after running through Xenogears, and then Xenosaga in the summer. Like anything else on my channel, it isn't for everyone - but I think it hits powerful, resounding notes about the nature of humankind, and manage to convey that weighty material successfully through the medium of video games. They're great, whether you enjoy them or not.

This is not the ultimate Xeno video, but it's a fun enough time. I'm bucking the impulse to divine the Perfect Take so I can enjoy some video games. So often, video makers feel compelled to drop "The Take," when really, if we're in the business of covering games - things intended to be enjoyed, for the most part - I think it's necessary that content dictate form. So have fun with the stuff. The devs certainly want you to.
