September 25, 2022—The Minnesota Vikings came back twice against Detroit, with a little help from Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

Up by three with 2:32 left, Campbell (who attempted six fourth-down conversions during the game) sent Austin Seibert our to attempt a 54-yard field goal, which missed wide right with 1:10 left in the fourth. Twenty-five seconds later, K.J. Osborn caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins, and the Vikings beat the Detroit Lions 28-24.

The Vikings fell behind twice during the game, 14-0 in the first half, and then 24-14, before rallying to reach 2-1— the team's first winning record at the end of September since 2016.

With his second-quarter TD catch, Adam Thielen became the fourth undrafted player since the Super Bowl era began in 1967 to reach 50 career touchdown receptions. Thielen gave the Lions' Amani Oruwariye fits all game, with the Lions DB getting called for six penalties. A likely seventh went uncalled on a fourth-and-8 throw by Cousins late in the fourth.
