"Yoda", a parody of "Lola" by The Kinks, is probably among Al's most famous parodies. It was originally recorded in late 1980 and early 1981, before it was sent to the Dr. Demento Show. It first aired on the radio on April 19, 1981. This song was meant to appear on Al's first album, even having a new studio recording made for it, but there were a few copyright issues with stopped it from being released. It was finally released on Al's third album, Dare to be Stupid. This demo was released on Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes #6 and an official compilation of rare Weird Al songs called "Medium Rarities"
