The first phase of UNU-WIDER's Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) programme helped improve tax systems and strengthen domestic capacities for revenue collection in Global South countries through seven different projects in 2020–2023. What was achieved? This Stories of Change video series shows the transformations these research and capacity development initiatives have been able to catalyse.
In this video a long-term DRM expert and Ushioda Fellow Mick Keen (University of Tokyo) explains the rationale, substance and achievements of UNU-WIDER’s DRM programme.
Efficient domestic resource mobilization will support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The DRM programme is financed by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
