There is some misunderstanding of this recording, such as this G major playing is a arrangement by Horowitz.

But this is not true, and at the 19th century and early 20th century, most of the edition knew that this piece is composed in G major, not G flat. Editions such as Liszt's edition used G major rather that G flat major, and lots of pianists recorded this piece in G major, such as Richter. But people soon knew that this piece was composed in G flat major, and played like that. Horowitz played this piece in G flat major after 1962.

But personally, I like this piece played in G major rather than G flat major.
