I am beginning a purely visionary painting in this video. What I mean by purely visionary is that it is from a vision I had and it has no references that I am working from. It is completely being envisioned in the Imaginal and being painted from my mind’s eye.

So because of the subject matter and what I want the end result to be, I have started this on a black background. But as you’ll see, the tricolor Mische Technique still can be used with beautiful results.

I behind with a red glaze over the black and refine by white casein layer. This video ends with the yellow glaze.

I am using Liquin Original for my painting medium once I switch to oils along with Windsor & Newton Indian Yellow and Golden Acrylics for my red glaze.
