Fun fact 1: Simona Patitucci dubbed Ariel in Italian in the original 1989 animated movie.
Fun fact 2: in 1989, Simona had auditioned both for the role of Ariel and Ursula, using two different names. She won both auditions (but was asked to choose one role).

Note: at 2:34, the original “larynxis” (“larynx”) and “glossitis” (a tongue disease) were sorta correct, while the words “larynxus” and “glaussitis” they were substituted with here don’t mean anything. They also don’t follow the English lyrics “amnesia, glossitis”. The fallowing “e max laryngitis” also shows a slight change: they removed the “t” in “et”, leaving only “e”, turning the conjunction from Latin to Italian, while the other two words remain in Latin.
Note 2: that weird thing the audio does at 2:41… well, that’s what it sounds like in the official mixing shared on Disney+. Fucking love it.
