Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and the shortest day. It has been a celebration since time immemorial where people dive into the depths of the darkness in order to ensure the rebirth of the light. For this episode of Mythology Cafe, we will be exploring various traditions of solstice from around the world and then doing our own solstice ritual. I welcome two special guests, Lisette Murphy and Michael Taft, to create the sacred soace of honoring the dark and bringing forth the light. Finally we transition then to some of my favorite ways of consecrating our ritual and enchant the world around us with intentional actions and praxis.
