E23 is 44 days old today. He/she appears so 'grown up' now. In just a week's time (since my last visit), E23 has grown their gray feathers into a beautiful brown and is now hopping/lifting their legs as they wingercize. F23 remained in the pasture area after M15 flew south before sunrise. She watched over E23 and the territory, watching from the front drive snag tree. She added a stick to the nest and flew across the road and back to 'remind' the neighbor eagles perching on the cell tower that she was alert to activity in the area. When she flew north later, she spied M15 and followed him back with roadkill/carrion for E23's breakfast. The pasture horses were seen grazing and a Red-headed Woodpecker was seen foraging in the church snag.
