M15 & F23 flew away from the nest way before I had my recorder set up, so E23 was "in charge" early. E23 was up to the task, winging those big wings with nice lifts off the nest and watching the area for activity. E23 saw F23 coming with grasses, hoping it was food. F23 remained above the nest for a short time before flying off to watch the area from a nearby Norfolk pine tree. The GHO nest was empty indicating both had fledged. I found both of the fledgling owlets in a nearby pine tree perched together and watching their area too. The horses were seen grazing by the pasture pond with steam rising up on this sunny but very chilly morning.
