Before sunrise we saw M15 rise to the attic from the nest he protected through the night from the GHO. After F23's arrival, M15 gathered new grasses and sticks for the nest while F23 'supervised'. There was mating. Both M15 and F23 secured their area vocalizing warnings to an unknown eagle perched nearby. F23 flew there and flushed the perched eagle from the pole then perched on it herself. Meanwhile M15 flew across the road, grabbed an armored catfish, stopped at the nest with it - F23 did not come to claim - so M15 flew with it to the pond oak to eat. When finished, M15 grabbed grasses from the office lawn and took them to the nest before taking his 'sentry' perch in the attic. Since 2015 when M15 arrived, he has grown to be a great protector & provider to his mates, offspring and territory. We can only hope M15 teaches F23 as well as Harriet taught M15 confidence, strength and intuitiveness.
