There is no character more indicative of the dot com bubble than the Pets.com Sock Puppet. Bursting onto the scene in the late 90s, he became a household name, a toy, and even an author. He wasn’t around for a long time, but in that time he caused a minor controversy when he was accused of being a ripoff, by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. This video is the story of a dotcom icon, and the ridiculous lawsuit he spawned. A lawsuit over puppet intellectual property.
