“Stone Cold” Steve Austin was at the peak of his powers as a pro wrestler during the late 90s. So much so that Hollywood came calling in the form of Don Johnson’s CBS show Nash Bridges. Austin joined the show in the fourth season as the renegade cop Jake Cage. Originally planned for a single episode, Austin’s appearance led to such high ratings that he became a recurring character on the show. This is the story of Steve Austin’s first foray into acting, and the episodes that almost led to Stone Cold hanging up his boots and leaving pro wrestling to become an actor.
