It was a cool breezy morning at the nest, perfect for E23 to practice launching back and forth through the nest and to the veranda branch. E23 was energetic early and then spent most of my visit there preening & watching the area from the veranda. As I prepared to go home, E23 had another burst of energy and began winging in the nest, toe-tapped the veranda branch and launched off hovering high above the nest for a short time. Way to go, E23!! E23 is 71 days old today.
