My name is Lia, author of the book “Transform your life: 10 steps to release what doesn’t serve you and build the life you truly want”.

In this video I would like to talk to you about my story with depression and anxiety ad how I overcame them.

Now my depression started when I changed jobs and started working at a tech company in 2018. My boss was a complete nightmare and althought I was getting along with my colleagues, or so I thought, he wouldn`t let me integrate properly. He hated me and did everything he could to make my life miserable.

He would ridicule me, make fun of me, snap at me, wouldn`t let me express my opinions and shut me up in meetings. It was an absolute nightmare and because of the poor treatment I fell into a deep depression. A few months passed and my grandmother died while I was living abroad. That was very painful because although I would visit her in Mexico from time to time, I hadn`t seen her in over a year. Her passing brought great grief and also a lot of problems I had with my mother came to the surface as well.

When I started to recover, I lost a baby at 8 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were trying to start a family and it didn`t work the first time. That made my depression even worse. I was unemployed, deeply depressed and felt lost in life.

However, after trying many healing techniques, I turned my life around. I am now happier than ever living a fulfilling life.
